Annie, the animal rescuer of Syracuse, heads West in Annie at the Ranch.

Annie Oberwager has never taken care of horses, mares, foals and pigs, but everyone knows how much she loves animals, so Aunt Rosie invites her to help out on the ranch. She makes wonderful friends with the animals, but not with the grouchy Pueblo Indian boy working there. He won't even talk to her and wishes she'd go home...until one morning a newborn foal gets caught in life-threatening danger and Annie and Francisco have to figure out together how to save the baby horse's life.
