The treatment of postoperative pain has still not yet been fully developed because of the lack of acute pain units,
specialists familiar with modern treatment modalities, drugs and technology for postoperative pain and special equipment.
The book provides a critical update on the postoperative use of intravenous and epidural opioids, the role of nerve blocks, and possible alternative treatments, and helps to prevent any legal problems arising.
