Jim and Gina Wicks were called to missions--to serve with others who had received the same calling--to minister in a culture within the United States that is not their own. They were led to historic Seelwood neighborhood in the inner southeast core of Portland, Oregon, where the percentage of the population with a background of Christianity was only six percent. The mission team believed God wanted them to be His reflection as they befriended the neighborhood and devoted themselves to meeting together, sharing meals, studying the scriptures, and living spontaneously within the culture. Read of Adsideo, a community of Christians who lean on each other, help each other, celebrate and cry together--and share life.
