In a A Swinger Of Birches, Robert Frost used brilliant forms of pathos,ethos, rhetorical strategies, and devices, to express his view of nature. In his poems he speaks about nature, the beauty of looking at it and being around it, taking it in. He had multiple poems, most about animals, and how they act. For example, he spoke about ants and how they had no emotions, they were so neutral. You would need to look at the a them up close to know they are that way. In another poem, he spoke about a skittish horse. He must have been in the woods to know about it, having seen its real reaction. Being close to nature, gives good insights for writing about them. In another poem he speaks about a pile of old snow. Indeed not a pile of snow, but old newspaper left out. It shows he does not care for those type of things. He wants to live them, describe them, feel it for himself. And then write in detail how it was. Keep it in his mind, in a beautiful way. In another poem hes speaking about how a writer is. He is scattered all around, papers here and papers there. He makes it a point to add a lot of personification. Adding personification like trees beckoning him to come. He wants people to write about experiences. Go out, not just read, you need more for it.
