A gift for a rogue Book

From the beginning, after a very short clash of wills, the H/H seemed to like each other, giggling and joking perfectly at ease with one another. So his supposed reputation problems and her supposed hatred of rakes, felt like a pie crust plot contrivance that went on for far too long. Other than that, it was a fun light read.

Bored, Alex, attends a proper dinner, realizes his looks and money cannot make up for his poor reputation. Introduced to Isabelle, who is considering chaperoning his twin wards next season, he asks her for help reforming. Isabelle convinces Alex to hold a house party, Alex convinces Isabelle to attend, they flirt. Isabelle helps bring Alex closer to his sons, Alex spoils her daughter. Alex's ward Abigail, crushing on Alex, treats Isabelle rudely, publicly announces Isabelle is Alex's mistress. Isabelle's hatred of rakes was because she was once seduced by a rake. Isabelle's reputation is saved by Alex and all the neighborhood gents dancing with her at the Christmas ball, she returns home to cook Christmas dinner for her servants, Alex follows, asks for her hand in marriage, she agrees, they kiss.
