A Black girl's song Book

In A BLACK GIRL'S SONG, Rochell D. Hart, offers the hip-hop generation a collection of poems which depict the life and observations of a Generation X African-American woman. Her edgy, truth-filled rhymes, of which many are autobiographical, will remind the BLACK PANTHER generation of the verses written by Nikki Giovanni, June Jordan and Sonia Sanchez. Ms. Hart, a 24 year-old native of Portland Oregon, is one of the leading voices in spoken word on the west coast. She has an incredible story to tell about her own life and uses her poetry to tell the reader about her teenage years.
