A World of Cake: 150 Recipes for Sweet Traditions from Cultures Near and Far
This book has some really tasty looking cakes in it and I plan sometime to make a few of them.
One of the cakes I plan to make is called the "Queen Mother Cake" and it gets it's name from Queen Elizabeth II's mother. The woman lived to be 101 and she first tasted this cake in the 1950s and enjoyed it so much that she had it featured at royal parties for the next 50 years.
The Queen Mother Cake is "dense and intense, this flourless chocolate cake has a soft center that is similar to that of a souffle`. Although it's sophisticated, because of its minimalism it tastes best with a childhood favorite - a tall glass of milk".

Another Cake I aspire to make is the Jo`zsef Dobos Cake on page 172, it looks amazing and the the story behind it really intrigued me.
