A Wonderful Life in Our Lives: Sketches of a Honeymoon in Mexico Book

A Wonderful Life in our Lives is a unique work of prose poetry detailing the experiences, both emotionally and geographically, of a couple's month-long honeymoon in Mexico.

The one- to two-page vignettes begin with the couple's departure from Los Angeles en route to the magical city of Oaxaca, where they spend several days taking in the local indigenous culture, the tastes, sights and smells, history and archaeological sites. All the while, the narrator shares the kind of intimacy, romance and fun, most honeymooners would only hope to experience.

From Oaxaca they embark on a road trip to the Pacific Coast, visiting the towns of Puerto Angel and Huatalco, then back to Oaxaca. Next stop is the Yucatan peninsula, to the idyllic island of Cozumel. While there, they take a side trip to the Mayan site of Chichén Itzá. Last stop is a return to Oaxaca to await and experience the solar eclipse from one of the world's best viewing locations, before returning to Southern California.

Each story offers the reader an artist's unique perspective of insiders' and outsiders' lives in these locales, information about the places visited, all intertwined in a very special love story.
