A hungry tigress living in Nepal tries to find food for herself and her cubs.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to follow a tiger for a day? This book describes what a typical day in the life of a tiger is like. The tigers hunt, cool off in the water, feed their young, and stay away from enemies. This book describes in detail what it is like for the tigers to find food. The beautiful illustrations show the tigers in their natural habitat, and include many illustrations of other animals in the jungle. The back of the book contains a world map with a star on Southeast Asia where the tigers live. The back matter also contains many facts about the tigers, such as what time of day they hunt, how long they will live, and how much they weigh. Also included is a large foldout illustration of a jungle scene, which has on the back a pictorial glossary of each of the animals found in the scene. Young children can identify the animals in the book, and older children can learn about the natural habitat of the tigers. 2003 (orig. 1999), Soundprints, Ages 3 to 7.
