Beyond Kyoto - Energy Dynamics and Climate Stabilisation Book

Co-written by the head of and administrator at the International Energy Agency's Energy & Environment Division, this volume surveys the science and policy choices of mitigating the human impact on global climate change. The authors first sketch out the uncertainty surrounding the issue (while affirming the reality of climate change) before looking at choices in converting the energy sector. They then explore the likely impact of current commitments under the Kyoto Protocol (which the U.S. has thus far refused to sign) and discuss needed coordinated policies that will hopefully go beyond Kyoto.
