Ikiro - Be Alive Book

"Ikiro/ Be Alive" is the catalog of the splendid exhibition of the same name in the Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo, the Netherlands, which was on view in 2001. The book and exhibition are intended to acquaint the public with two kinds of Japanese artists: those who traditionally seek authenticity and reflect on their own identity and their relationship to nature, and those who are intensely concerned with the world they live in and with Japan's recent history.
