An Illustrated Introduction to Taoism: The Wisdom of the Sages
As so often recently I lack the time to devote the depth of review this book really needs.
In purely academic terms this is a really valuable introduction to Taoism, remarkable for its concision, clarity and especially for the numerous excellent images spread throughout.
Cooper was interesting. I find her academic version of Taoism probably the least pleasing and least affecting of all the sources I have read so far, hence the relatively low rating, something I delivered more due to me disagreeing with her views than with the quality of her communication.
My complex somewhat oppositional relationship with Taoism has only deepened.
