William D. Bailey, M.D., was a Louisiana physician for many years before the Holy Spirit touched him with the desire to do medical missions overseas as well as at home.

As he entered the early retirement phase of his life, he melded together a career of overseas mission trips, working in Louisiana and foreign prisons, and paying for it all by working at local emergency rooms in hospitals in his home city of Baton Rouge.

Dr. Bailey's travels have taken him literally around the world. In this, his third volume, Dr. Bailey brings his travels up to date as of late 2010.

With commitment, enthusiasm, and a special dose of compassion he tells about missions in a way that makes countries, people groups, missionaries, and others who travel as he does overseas leap off the pages into the hearts of people reading his books.
