Over 100 soup recipes of every kind. I usually make the recipe as written for the first time... I add MY changes the second time and I write the variations in the book. My family likes most of the recipes in the book. I like the different ethnic and nationalities represented in the book. i get tired of the same flavors all the time. That said I am not fond or recipes with hard to find ingredients... if they can not be gotten at my local rural grocery store... I have to find substitutes.
Only drawback in the book for me is the CREAM BASED soups... I can not eat cream/ milk/ diary in any way .... so I usually fudge with the recipe and use a broth of some kind... vegetable, chicken or fish stock.
Ms Sheasby has another book with 400 Best-Ever Soups Recipes. I would probably have gotten that one if it had been available at the bookstore sales table. I love the under $10 / $5 bin for how to and cook books.
