Over Europe Book

Nobody has ever seen Europe like this. Here is the Old World viewed without frontiers, a divided continent visibly back together again. When the Berlin Wall came down during the last weeks of 1989, Over Europe's Photographers took off. For two years fourteen top aerial cameramen examined the familiar countries of the west and explored those in the east, many of which had never been photographed in this way before.

Europe's human story is told in an accompanying text by Jan Morris, whose insightful observations have made her one of the most widely read travel writers of our generation. Here she complements the pictures with an overview of Europe and its people, of their preoccupations, struggles and triumphs, and of the fortunes history has by turns bestowed upon them and taken away.
