This volume contains interviews with 36 famous physicists, including 22 Nobel laureates. The interviews range over a variety of topics, depending mostly on the whim of the interviewee, but they tend to cover some biographical background, the interviewee's philosophy, approach to physics, and views on specific achievement. Each interview is prefaced by a brief biography, a b&w photo, and an explanation of contributions. Both Hargittais are structural chemists: Magdolna, with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest; István is with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (both have other affiliations as well). The book is distributed in the US by World Scientific. Annotation © 2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
