There are hikes to suit every taste: gentle and undemanding, long and tough, and everything in between. Most of the routes avoid climbing of a technical nature, beyond the odd scramble aided by a fixed rope.

100 Hut Walks in the Alps
Great book for finding some amazing hikes in Big Sur. I only wish I had more time to explore the area! Sadly, I think my copy jumped out of the car near Bixby or Rocky Creek Bridge. Hopefully someone else picked it up and found some use for it!
