The French Revolutionary Wars
The Napoleonic Era has always been interesting to me since I read 'Sharpe' many years ago. However this is only my second foray into the revolutionary wars which Napoleon used to create the 'cult' around him, and which resulted in the death of many generals, noblemen and the King & Queen of France.
A very clearly laid out and planned book with explanations of all the main battles and maps of Europe before and after the revolution. It perhaps dwells on the Anglo-Saxon (ie British and hence American) view of the wars and less on the French view but was none-the-less very interesting.
