When the teacher announces the class will participate in a science fair, everyone has ideas for a project except the main character. This instigates a trip to the library where he discovers many possibilities for projects. The eager guy decides to research caterpillars and find out what he can to present at the fair. The book has a satisfying ending as the main character learns and explains about the caterpillar's life span and—just in time at the science fair—all the caterpillars in his box turn into butterflies. This is a Spanish language edition of the book, Just a School Project, which is part of "The New Adventures of Mercer Mayer's Litter Critter" series. These books are geared toward young elementary school readers. This book would be a good choice to help inspire Spanish-speaking children who will be participating in a science fair. The book is a straight translation of the English version of the book. This is not a bilingual book; the illustrations were designed for the English text and still include all English labels.
