Five Lessons I Didn't Learn from Breast Cancer (And One Big One I Did) Book

There are a lot of good breast cancer guides out there, and this isn't intended to fill that niche. It was more a counter-voice to all the "how breast cancer transformed my life" books. I also am reactive to the idea that we should be grateful for the experience and look for the gifts in breast cancer. Screw that. I am a person who constantly reassesses my life - I sure didn't need cancer to do that. The one thing cancer did change is I am more keenly aware of the possibility of my own death sooner than I might like. But I was already trying to live in the moment as much as possible. We need authors who will say, "cancer sucks."
