Despite wide acclaim of the achievements of the Church and the overwhelming refutations of its critics, the negative spirit of anti-Mormonism lives on, as does the media's effort to group all 'Mormon intellectuals' as dissidents. An overwhelming majority of LDS academics and intellectuals are active, faithful Latter-day Saints who maintain strong, fervent testimonies of the gospel and its doctrine. Expressions of Faith is a compilation of testimonies from such well-known frequently published LDS scholars as Hugh Nibley, Marilyn Arnold, Robert L. Millet, Bruce C. Hafen, Gerald N. Lund, Truman G. Madsen, and Daniel H. Ludlow. This book demonstrates that the application of faithful scholarship to the scriptures is one way of rejoicing in God's continual revelations to mankind.
