The Modern Masters series marries an extensive interview with lavish illustrations. The subject this time around is truly a master of comic book art. Chris Sprouse along with Alan Moore launched the wildly inventive Tom Strong series among other artistic feats of strength. The interview goes into his background, process and career highlights.
My first experience with the art of Chris Sprouse was when I worked as an inking assistant and drew backgrounds on the DC limited series Hammerlocke over Chris' pencils. I was a fan twenty years ago, when I was doing that work and I'm a bigger fan now.
