Life stories of someone who seems to sincerely reach out to other animals despite a biblical upbringing and a father who approached animals for the most part in a predatory fashion. Neither the best models for a caring attitude.
Despite that and an involvement with captive marine mammals, I got that she really deeply cared for animals. We all learn as we go along. This was also published in 2001 so the situation for wolves has changed as it has for sea creatures. And not necessarily for the better.
One thing is clear. Those of us that love all of Creation must constantly be on the look out for those that need to be reminded that they are not the center of the Universe and that other animals have the right to live their lives too. Without humanity's constant intervention and cruelty.
