Wisdom for Women: A Daily Devotional Journal Book

(4.5) Now that I'm a little older, I'm hesitant to highly recommend (or even rate) books written for Christians, mainly because everyone is at a different level in their spiritual walk and might not immediately or completely understand (or perhaps, even be ready to accept) what another Christian is telling them. Even preachers are human and fallible, and of course (and unfortunately), there are some false preachers out there who don't preach the truth (or some who dangerously preach a bit of both). So, as always, we Christians need to be vigilant in all that we read and listen to. I will say that there are some things in this book that I don't 100% agree with (yet??)'mostly the healing and prosperity thing. I've always believed that God can 100% provide healing or prosperity'or anything, really'to those who ask, though of course, we should always pray to Him with the right heart and reasons, but I also question how the concept of God's will plays into Wommack's proposed ideas. Maybe I'm taking Wommack's ideas completely out of context, but I also believe that we are to ultimately pray for and submit to God's will. Or perhaps, I'm just not spiritually ready to accept this yet. That being said, this book also really opened my eyes to a lot of things in regard to my spiritual walk and has greatly helped it, so for that I am truly grateful. I do think God used this book (as per recommendation of a friend) as a wake-up call in my own spiritual walk with Him. However, what is most useful to my spiritual walk at a certain time might not be as helpful to another Christian at the same time. Ultimately, God's Word is where we should get all our instruction from'a point that Wommack does make and which I greatly appreciate'so That is what we should be testing all things against.
