The Politics of Leadership: Superintendents and School Boards in Changing Times
Obviously this book only tells of incidents that will make the reader uncomfortable. But as a former public school teacher I have seen variances of all the topics covered in this book - especially with teaching to the test (chapter 1), "building" self-esteem (chapter 3), and multiculturalism (chapter 7).
I also have to say I did not read every episode written in this book; it was too disturbing. But this book made me extra grateful for the opportunity I have to homeschool my children!
