The Homeless Pooch Book

I really like the stories and love the sound effects, but I don't find this author to be the best narrator. I'm not really the right type of person for audiobooks anyway so the narrator would need to sound more like they are acting then reading a book to keep my attention. This one fits somewhere in the middle. A lot of times the author is a little too flat for me and just off somehow, just not the best acting, but other times I really like it. This is the first audiobook I have ever listened to. If it wasn't audio only, this wouldn't be my choice. I would prefer to read these books rather than listen to them, but it's definitely good enough that I will be listening to the rest of the audio only series. However, I think it feels perfect for kids with the sound effects and songs to make it really enjoyable to them. If I were still at the right age, and didn't just read these books because I still like the series, I really believe I would have given this book a higher rating and wouldn't have any problems with the things that bother me now.
