Dragon Ball Z, Volume 19 Book

Finally, that damn Cell storyline is over! What a drek it was. Everything that was wrong with the Freeza arc was tripled in this one. Recycling of old ideas and plots, pointless character deaths and resurrections, huge plot holes, and in Cell's case there was also a convoluted time travel subplot! I disliked almost every volume in the Cell arc, and I say it with confidence this time: Cell is the worst DBZ storyline, bar none. He was a boring, predictable, insufferable villain, and he even surpassed Vegeta in being the most annoying character in the world of Dragon Ball. I am so glad he's finally gone.

Phew... only seven more volumes to go, and I hope that the final arc is going to be great. Toriyama was obviously running out of steam by this point, after writing the manga for more than a decade, and it shows ' what once was a delightful and fun book has now turned into a tired mess. At least the ending must be good! Son Goku deserves a much better send off than this.
