Knights & Castles Exploring History Through Art Book

Good one. Nice for adults, truth be told. Kids may find the art a bit dry , but I loved it. I do think the expertise is not quite there. E.g. the notion that life in the middle ages was all about drudgery and disease and immanent death, is just not accepted (any longer) by historians. But many of the insights about the artwork (comments about patterns, objects, designs, tactics, morals) I did not know. Probably of most interest to older children, but well worth reading for adults.
