Information about the state of Ohio is presented in counting form. The reader is asked questions to identify items pictured in the book. Each number has a short poem to present the topic and then a more in depth discussion of that topic. The reader learns the name of the state reptile, the state bird, and the state tree within the story of fourteen numbers. At the end of the story, ten math type problems are presented to the reader.
