As Georges and Robert continue to become more at ease with each other, Georges' long-time friend Henri begins to question his own relationship with Georges. Henri carries strong feelings for him, but has accepted that he will never be able to get beyond friendship and has devoted himself to being his protector. While the first volume was all right, if not really my thing, volume two ensured I probably won't go looking for more. It's definitely not my thing. Two-thirds of the book is one long arc which was, frankly, too long. It got repetitive. Georges is now trying to be friends with another young man with whom he feels connected to because this young man wants to do charity work and help others. Robert warns him not everyone is what they seem and that this new boy might be with one of those sham charities who are bilking people. Guess who's right?
It does nothing to build on the relationship between Georges and Robert which is presumably why people are reading this. About the only hint of that is a little h/c at the end. The rest of the book deals with side characters I don't remember meeting before and don't care about. The longer of the two is about one boy looking to move out on a roommate who has a thing for him but the older of the two is interested in a townie girl who is the most obnoxious character I've seen in a while. The last story creeped me out with one of the kids (middle school aged) wants to snag a teacher who is leaving to go get married. I finished the two I had from Half Price Book store. I'm done with the series, not for me.
