African Sites Archaelogy in the Caribbean
Fairly scholarly, and maybe a bit much for a casual reader, but a good treatment of the subject (unfortunately, unlike ancient Egypt, there aren't a lot of good books on the Meroitic civilization for the lay reader). It's rekindled my interest in visiting!
