No Money Down: Financing for Franchising explores every source of financing available for franchising, including the many ways to obtain financing with no money down. This tome of the industry is divided into three parts:

Part I reviews your preliminaries of financing as a prospective franshisee: Rating your credit; developing financial statements; and understanding the necessary investment requirments.

Part II is a unique in-depth study of how to develop your franshise business plan, as never before seen in any publication. How to combine all the elements of your business plan - franchisee summary, company description, mission statement, business objectives, market, marketing plan, and management qualifications - with those of your franchisor; how to include your own financial pro formas and financing request; and how to include your franchisor's success and background - complete as an industry analysis, to develop one, cohesive business plan for your franchised outlet.

Part III adds the finishing touches: Sources of equity financing, sources of debt financing, sources of franshisor financing; and how to professionally package, set up an appointment, and give a personal presentation, in your quest to acquire and secure the financing you need.

ABOUT THE MARKET:

Because this basic business reference details reasons why franchised outlets are so much more successful than independently owned businesses, this book is a necessary source for anyone who is considering the possibility of going into business and becoming his or her own boss. For the prospective franchisee, and the startup franchisee, it is a must. If you already own a franchise and have never developed a business plan, there is no other resource on the market that will address your needs as does No Money Down: Financing for Franchising. For the student of business, this book has already acquired approval at California State University as a text book for an advanced certification program in business franchising.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Roger Rule is a published author of other authoritative books recognized as THE reference sources in their respective fields.

After serving as an airborne officer in the U.S. Army, he started a real estate developoment business during the seventies, becoming a self-made millionaire in four short years. Slowed by the recession of the early eighties, Roger rebounded six-fold in the decade that followed. He became interested in franchising when he married his wife, Eileen - a real estate broker - and together they owned a Century 21 franchise in California until retiring in Hawaii where Roger continued his first love of writing. Over the years, Roger has been president of seven corporations and featured in Who's Who in California, Personalities of America, Who's Who in Finance and Industry (North America), and International Businessmen's Who's Who.
