Several years ago, Dr. Herman J. Elkmoss, a fictitious neurologist in Swampville, died in a freakish accident at Moss Community Hospital. His widow, Mrs. Elkmoss, uncovered many essays he had written, and they were eventually published in The Marvelous Adventures of Herman J. Elkmoss, MD. Recently while rummaging around her attic, Mrs. Elkmoss found some additional stories her departed husband had written. Further Adventures of Herman J. Elkmoss, MD continues the story of the rewarding career of a physician. Although most stories present a somewhat humorous view of medicine, they also provide a refreshing insight into the rewarding life of a practicing physician, husband, and father.
