The Underground Railroad: An Interactive History Adventure Book

Who would have thought a book about the Underground Railroad would be so entertaining'even fun.?!! This book was a very quick and entertaining read that puts you in the shoes of either a runaway slave, a slavecatcher or an abolitionist with different choices that are realistic and engaging. I think my favorite story was the runaway slave as the first choice of whether to stay with your mother or run away with your father was heartwrenching and so real..I honestly don't know what I would do and for a book to explore this and entertain at the same time I was so excited…I pretty much gave the premise of the book that starts out with slavery in the 1850s and the fun of the book is choosing a scenario and then trying another way and another. I failed the most with the abolitionist character as I tried to save everyone and didn't foresee the consequences'I can see this being a great read aloud and instructional tool in Black History month for all students as the language is easy to read and relate to.
