My Special Friend Joey and Me: A Child's Eye View of Autism Book

This is the story of a schoolmate and his friend Joey, who is Autistic and has a few other developmental disabilities. The story begins when they start first grade and continues until they finish grade school. This book is done in rhyme to make it more interesting and easier for young children to understand. It is the schoolmate's story of how he and the other children perceive a child who is "different" and how they eventually see beyond his affliction to the person he reallly is and become his friends.
