Captive Pride
Repetition killed this one!
The plot is good. The characters well described and developed. But the repetition of why or what was happening was to the point of droll!
I found myself skimming as the repeated description of the characters' motives was such overkill it ruined the story. I think about a-third of the book could have easily been edited out.
I also felt the story ended oddly. A big work out to nothing!
No recommendation. Not one of Smith's best efforts by far.
