We had this on our Amazon Wish List and thankfully a family member got it for our 3 year old. We have a nighttime ritual where we read 3 books with him before bed. He loves interactive books so we added this to the three as soon as we received it. It is absolutely amazing! We tell him about the fire truck while going through each section. He loves to put gas in the truck, draw on the "list", check the air pressure of the tires, rearrange the tools, check the oil, climb the ladder with his fingers (counting the rungs) stow it, turn the engine on, steer, talk on the CB ("Breaker breaker. Hello?" he says), switch the channels, spin the emergency lights, and ring the bell. Of course, we both make the sounds throughout ("glub glub glub" he says while filling up the gas).
It is 10 minutes of interactive fun and it teaches him about real world things, including responsibility for maintaining something. He has so much fun with this book and so do we.
