An old hymn proclaims, The Light of the world is Jesus. But just what is light? Taking into consideration several scientific concepts and theories associated with physical light, Light explores some of the possibilities Jesus may have included when He said, "I am the light . . ." The author takes us beyond our familiar "churchy" perception of light, yet avoids technical jargon and keeps the discussion of infrared, lasers, X rays, holograms and other technology on a level easily understood by those of us that are scientifically disadvantaged.
