P. G. Wodehouse was born in 1881 and died in 1975 on St Valentine's Day, only weeks after being knighted. He is most famous for the creation of Jeeves and Wooster.
The son of Sir Donald Sinden, Jeremy Sinden's stage career included spells with the RSC and the Chichester Festival Theatre. He made over 100 TV appearances, which included Brideshead Revisited (Emmy Award nomination), The Far Pavilions, Mountbatten: The Last Viceroy, The Expert and Danger UXB. His films have included Star Wars, Ascendancy and Chariots of Fire. He died in 1996.
