The Confession Unbound: Meditations on The Westminster Confession Book

The Westminster Confession has been around for 350-plus years. Trying to say something new about something so old might seem to be at best a waste of time or at worst a paradox. But the Westminster Divines explicitly set out to set down the biblical patterns of the Reformation faith and to defend the Reformation distinctive from attack. Regarding the former, biblical patterns of faith never are old. Sometimes our expressions of the faith can become time-worn, to be sure. But the "old, old story" of God's grace unfolded in redemptive history is always new (Lam.3:23). The Confession Unbound is a collection of meditations and exposition of the Scriptures in each section of the Westminster Confession. The format lends itself to a daily devotional time so that you can work your way through the Confession in a timely and a deeper fashion.
