Strong Feather Book

Strong Feather is a story about a young American Indian boy, Jimmy Warrior, and the problems he first encounters in a Newark, New Jersey jail. A kind policeman, Officer Bob Brown, does Jimmy a favor and good things begin to happen in his life. In addition to becoming very attached to a hawk, Jimmy makes new friends in Colorado, and is briefly reunited with his father. They have something in common which draws them together even closer. Read about Jimmy's thoughts as an adolescent, while he tries desperately to embrace his new home and cultural surroundings.
