Not much better than the history of its sister state north of its border. I'm afraid that as I venture into the Pacific Northwest states to finish this project that the histories will be similar: vast, dry prairies; massacres of Native Americans; fur trading; injustices to Native Americans; pioneer tales ala Little House on the Prairie; relocating Native Americans; near extinction of buffalo; and breaking treaties with Native Americans. This is who we are.
