Everest expeditions) to explore how innovation among equipment manufacturers helped change the face of outdoor sports. They also explore how the concerns of explorers fed back into innovation strategies by equipment providers, and they are further concerned with why some approaches to clothing or equipment are favored at different times and among different sporting populations and not others.
