Lost and Found: Historic and Natural Landmarks of the San Gabriel Valley Book

In general it was an enjoyable collection of stories, but it could have used extensive editing. Spelling, punctuation, grammar, and word choice were the obvious mistakes and many, but there were also places where meaning was lost because the author assumed the reader was inside his head and knew as much as he knows. The many repetitions of the name, "McMenamins," could have used even more explanation than given. The book didn't quite advertise for the organization, but the relationship seemed interesting. I can't say I feel a need to look for the other book he's written based on the performance in this one, but I wouldn't scorn it if it crossed my path.
