The little prairie hen
This book models the story of "The Little Gingerbread Man", in that a cookie is trying to not be eaten. The illustrations show many different animals and the ways that they can travel by (water, land, air). The cookie is naive in that he does not believe that anyone will try to eat him. The lesson is to not trust everyone that you meet, and the message parallels "stranger danger" which is taught to young children.The audience will appreciate the humor as well as the importance of remaining observant.
