Braided lives Book

SUMMARY:
Published by the Minnesota Humanities Commission in 1991, this anthology brings together vivid stories and poems of Native American, Hispanic American, African American, and Asian American writers. It was created by Minnesota teachers, for teachers and students in Minnesota high schools. Each section is different, still the book is very fulfilling.

GRADE LEVEL: Middle School+

CURRICULAR CONNECTION: I would use this anthology to have students assess how the writing styles change between the various cultures.
