Strawbery Banke: A Seaport Museum 400 Years in the Making
Absolutely fantastic!
This is an art book, originally published in 1954. It was reprinted by Titan books in 2008.
Artzybasheff was probably most widely known during his lifetime as a cover artist for Time Magazine.
His art tends to anthropomorphize inanimate things like bottles, tanks, guns, airplanes, machines, and factory production lines. Or it might even vegetalize (if that's a word) humans or even reduce them to symbols.
In sum, Artzybasheff was a master of creative teratogenesis. It's a wild ride through this book. It's sometimes horrifying, and sometimes hilarious, but always fascinating.
