Agate: What Good Is a Moose? Book

A moose named Agate thinks he is not special at all, and that all his friends of different animal species are beautiful jewels and he is nothing but a plain rock. But at the end of the story he learns that he is beautiful just like any jewel, and that he should be happy that he is himself and never wish to be anybody else, and that he is beaugtiful on the inside, just like an agate.. It describes the animals and what they can do throughout the book while giving them a name of a jewel or rock.

I give this story 5/5 stars. I really really liked it, I loved the originality of the illustrations, and the rhyming made it a really fun read. It was also very cool to learn about the different types of jewels, and I am sure children would love to learn about that too. I loved the message, that you are beautiful on the inside, and that it is not good to compare ourselves to others.
