Mi sembrava di averlo letto e invece...
Già solo l'introduzione (1982) della Pivano... e ho detto tutto.
"Credo che sia una cosa comune a molti scrittori, quando vedono che tutti vanno in una direzione, loro automaticamente vogliono andare dalla parte opposta. E' per questo che sono scrittori. Sono creature strane".
"Non si deve cercare niente, non si deve apprezzare niente, le cose accadono continuamente. Alzare un bicchiere di vino e berlo è già abbastanza. E' per questo che non mi piace viaggiare in Europa, vedere torri e sculture. Non ne ho bisogno...".
Dove finalmente si scopre che chi pretende di insegnare a scrivere è un ciarlatano e un imbroglione.
Come si può tradurre Ask the dust con Il cammino della polvere?!?
"Ma per me star fermo lì e lasciarli impadronirsi della situazione con la loro noiosa inettitudine sembrava atroce".
Hank conosceva solo due scrittori italiani: Pirlandello e Sifone. Buon per lui. (Boccaccio non conta).
