From sunrise to sundown a little boy and his sister frolic at the beach. Through bright and whimsical pictures the reader views the pair collecting, swimming, running and exploring. Simple poetic couplets accompany the visual adventure. "Bless your busy little hands. Bless your castles made of sand." Even when the boy is bitten by a crab his mother offers comfort, "Bless your boo-boo and your tears. Bless your tiny little ears." The spiritual theme of the book reminds the reader that even simple activities are to be appreciated. The rhyming text would make bedtime prayers special.
